Earth Hour - Switch off the lights for one hour and save the earth. Earth Hour is a global event organized by the WWF(World Wide Fund for Nature). Earth Hour was started in the 2007 in Sydney, Australia, and around 2.2 million people switeched of their lights for one hour to send out a message that they care about the climate change.

In 2008, around 50 Million people from the world switched off their lights in 370 cities and towns around the world including Copenhagen, Toronto, Bangkok and Chicago.

In the 2009 the concept of Earth Hour truly went global. Around 88 countries took part in that with 4000 towns on 7 continents. The triggering people to Switch Off their lights was from all over the world from the Eiffel Tower to Times Square in New York. That also includes the 80 Million Americans and 318 US cities.

And now in 2010 time has come to us,

and Earth Hour is being taken to the its very next level and that also with the goal of 1 Billion people to seitch off their lights.

Earth Hour 2010 is held from 8:30pm to 9:30 pm on march 27. Around 121 countries have signed up for the Earth Hour 2010.



And this year i Harsh (a Environmentalist) gonna join these folks who are turning off their lights during Earth Hour - To demonstrate that i'm also aware of Climate Change and considers it an very important matter.
