In 2010, a sequence of volcanic eruption started, and resulted in an estimated 250 million cubic metres (330,000,000 cu yd) of ejected tephra. The ash plum rose to a height of approximately 9 kilometres (30,000 ft). The volcano erupted in Iceland disturbed the whole world.  The Eyjafjallajokull volcano erupted till a very longer period. The volcano erupted for the second time in less than a month. Which affects the earth by melting ice, shooting large amount of smoke and steam into the air. Due to the volcanic ash, many flights were cancled and disturbed the air traffic.Millions of  passangers were not able to transport and to reach home because all Asia - Europe flights were stopped.

The steam exploded from the glacier topped iceland volcano. The lightning photographs are taken about 30 kilometers away from the volcanic lightining storm. The volcanic eruption created around 2000 foot long fissure.
